Summer Stories - Texas
Introducing Beta Summer Stories - a series of postcards from our team and friends of the brand, as they leave the office and head out for summer.
A change of setting. Same wardrobe. Discover the pieces we travel with.

Postcard from under the Texas sun.
Warm air, quiet lakes and long days under open skies.
Dorte Holmqvist, Founder & CEO of Beta Studios, travels to Texas.
A closer look at how she travels - from what she packs to what she wears.

Carry-on or checked?
This time, carry-on only as we were changing locations several times.
Roll or flatpack?
I definitely flatpack - fitting everything in my suitcase like Tetris.
Packing minimalist or over-packer?
Minimal - I pack a limited selection that can be mixed and worn in different ways.

Pre-packer or throw-in-and-go type?
Pre-packer. A smaller selection requires a bit more thought.
Do you pack in outfits?
Not exactly - but I do consider how everything works together.
Travel minis or fullsize products?
Minis.

Overpacking or leaving room for souvenirs?
I usually use all the space - and figure out the souvenir situation later. You can always add an extra bag if needed.
Travel scarf or travel sweater?
Both - I always get cold on flights.
In-flight non-negotiables?
None, really.

Best packing tip?
I always bring an easy, relaxed dress - even if I don’t wear one at home. Sun and warm air somehow call for something a little more bohemian.
How do you balance comfort and style?
Comfort comes first - especially when the trip includes both hiking and time to unwind.

What do you always bring back home?
Good memories - the kind you carry with you.
What makes a piece travel-worthy?
Versatility and ease - something that can be worn in different ways and doesn’t wrinkle too easily.
