Summer Stories - Denmark
Beta Summer Stories - a series of postcards from our team and friends of the brand, as they leave the office and head out for summer.
A change of setting. Same wardrobe. Discover the pieces we travel with.

Postcard from the Danish coast.
Windy shores, changing weather and slow days by the water.
Maiken Winther, Head of Brand & Creative at Beta Studios, travels to the coast in Denmark.
A closer look at how she travels - from what she packs to what she wears.

Carry-on or checked?
Both. A checked suitcase and a carry-on - I’m not a light packer.
Roll or fold?
I roll. I was once taught the art of packing by Louis Vuitton, and I’ve sworn by it ever since. It simply fits more. Only a few pieces on top are folded.
Packing minimalist or over-packer?
Somewhere in between.

Pre-packer or throw-in-and-go?
Pre-packer.
Do you pack in outfits?
No - I pack pieces that work together.
Travel minis or full-size?
Full-size. And usually more than I need.
Overpack or leave space?
Always leave space - I bring something back. For sure.
Travel scarf or sweater?
Both. No matter the season.
In-flight non-negotiables?
Water, headphones, an eye mask and something soft to wear. And my pillow - always. A bad pillow can ruin a night’s sleep, so I bring my own.
Best packing tip?
If you don’t wear it at home, you won’t wear it away.
How do you balance comfort and style?
I prioritise comfort - always.
What do you always bring back home?
Small objects, local finds and something to remember the place by.
What makes a piece travel-worthy?
I pack a cast of favorites like a crisp button-down shirt or a light polo you can dress up or down. My pieces needs to move between the beach, everyday adventures with my family and evenings out. Comfort , easy and versatility.
