Carry-on or checked?
I always travel ultra-light with just one bag that fits easily in the cabin.
Roll or flatpack?
A bit of both, depending on the item.
Packing minimalist or over-packer?
Minimalist.
Pre-packer or throw-in-and-go type?
I plan ahead so my few selected pieces can be mixed and worn in different ways.
Do you pack in outfits?
Yes, but I bring so few things that everything has to work together. I actually have the same packing list I return to year after year:
3 pairs of underwear, 2 bikinis, 1 slip dress, 1 t-shirt, 1 tank top, 1 sweater, 1 pair of shorts, 1 scarf, 1 beach towel, headphones, my Kobo e-reader and one real book, jewellery, and a small toiletry bag — including a little bottle of detergent for stains. And Uno.
Travel minis or full-size products?
I keep my products to a minimum. Everything has to take up as little space as possible in my carry-on.
Overpacking or leaving room for souvenirs?
I only buy small things on summer holidays, so everything has to fit back into my carry-on.
Travel scarf or travel sweater?
A sweater. I always bring a cashmere sweater.
In-flight non-negotiables?
A good book and headphones.
Best packing tip?
For the kind of holiday I take, everything I bring needs to withstand sand, seawater and sunscreen.
I can get very far with a few bikinis, a T-shirt, a large cotton scarf that I fold and wear as a skirt, and a cashmere sweater for evenings that can feel surprisingly cool when the wind sweeps across the small Greek islands.
Flip-flops are the only shoes I need.
How do you balance comfort and style?
Sun on my face and a happy holiday mood is good style to me. I wear comfortable, airy clothes and add a few simple pieces of jewellery.
What do you always bring back home?
Apart from sand in my clothes, I often bring back Greek skincare products. And of course, a bottle of Greek olive oil.
What makes a piece travel-worthy?
The clothes I bring have to feel comfortable and soft. Nothing can itch or feel restrictive. And there has to be colour.
